Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a combat sport, and a self defense system that focuses on grappling and ground fighting. It teaches how to successfully defend against larger opponents by using leverage and proper technique - most notably by applying joint locks and choke-holds. BJJ training can be used for sport grappling tournaments (gi and nogi), in mixed martial arts (MMA) competition, or in self-defense. Sparring (commonly referred to as "rolling") and live drilling play a major role in training, and a premium is placed on performance, especially in competition, in relation to progress and ascension through a ranking system.
Brazilian Jujitsu Classes are Monday (NoGi) at 7:30pm, Wednesday (Varies Gi) at 7:30pm and Friday (Gi and NoGi) at 7:30pm
